As part of the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership "Dialogue with a Resilient Future", GGI is excited to announce that a series of test training sessions are scheduled to begin on September 25, 2024. These sessions will primarily take place online, with live events in October in Vienna, Barcelona, Brussels, and Milan. Participation is free, and all course participants will have open access to the materials and tools. The training programme offers a preview of e-learning modules focused on data and impact assessment with references to the EU's Green Deal. It also provides practical and participatory training using smart development VR/AR tools, such as URBAN MENUS—a digital training tool for scenario building and impact calculation (environmental, social, and economic). This includes VR tours of best-case scenarios and "Innovation Cards" with AR extensions to inspire sustainable development initiatives.

The programme features an initial case study of a generic city quarter, likely Messina in Sicily, Italy, explored through a VR tour. Participants will also learn more about the "Dialogue for a Resilient Future," a participatory consensus-finding method, and gain inspiration for applying these concepts to their own projects during this immersive experience.

Additional workshops will take place in January and June 2025, focusing on urban periphery and inner-city development cases. We encourage you to register as soon as possible!

Potential of Interdisciplinarity and Multilateral Cooperation to Create the Best Future for All

A European consortium, comprising members from Austria, Belgium, Italy, Spain, and an associated partner from Ukraine, is responsible for delivering the training. The consortium brings together expertise in holistic and innovative spatial and real estate development, impact assessment, digitisation, research, and education. The project is led by holistic architect Laura P. Spinadel of BUSarchitektur in Vienna, renowned for flagship projects such as the Compact City and Campus WU Vienna, which focus on cities of short distances. She collaborates with the Austrian sustainability and digitisation R&D company akaryon GmbH.

The team also includes LCI Barcelona, the International School of Design and Visual Arts; Global Governance Institute (GGI) from Brussels; Il Punto Real Estate Advisor Srl from Milan; and changemaker Alissa Ban'kovska, founder and CEO of SYNCHRO SPACE, a hub for city innovations in Ukraine.

This initiative is part of an ERASMUS+ vocational training project. Upon completion of the training, participants will have the opportunity to earn the "URBAN MENUS Diploma in Resilient City Development." For more details, visit: trainingresilience.eu.
