The European Network on Teaching Excellence (E-NOTE) has been invited by the Czech Senate to brief the Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Human Rights and Petitions on “Excellence in Higher Education: Czech and European experiences” on 14 October 2022.
The event, co-organized by E-NOTE, Institute of International Studies of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University and the Senate under the auspices of the Czech Minister for European Affairs and the Czech European Union Council Presidency, is part of the network’s extensive dialogue with policy-makers and higher education specialists across Europe.
Professor Joachim Koops (Coordinator of E-NOTE), and Dr. Tomáš Weiss (Charles University and Member of E-NOTE), Marcus Marcussen (University of Copenhagen and member of E-NOTE) took part in the discussions with Senators and exchanges with, inter alia, Radka Wildova (Czech Deputy Minister for Higher Education, Science, and Research) as well as with Michal Bulant, (vice-rector for education and study quality, Masaryk University).
The European Network on Teaching Excellence (E-NOTE) is an EU-financed project of the universities of Leiden, Copenhagen, Coimbra and Prague as well as the Coimbra Group of 41 European universities and the European Centre for Global Education at the Global Governance Institute in Brussels. The aim of E-NOTE is to gather evidence-based insights into teaching excellence at BA, MA, PhD supervision and management levels and to promote a European approach to teaching excellence and best practices in higher education.
